About Dr Maya Angelou
Dr. Angelou has authored countless bestselling books, including her autobiography, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings and the Pulitzer Prize nominated collection of poetry, Just Give Me a Cool Drink of Water 'Fore I Diiie. She is recognized around the world as a leading civil rights activist. Dr. Angelou has written, produced, directed and starred in productions for stage, film and television. Dr. Angelou received an Emmy® nomination for Best Supporting Actress in Roots in 1977.
